Colors
The color theory we use today was created by Sir Isaac Newton! It is commonly known as "Roy G. Biv" which includes Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. These colors, as seen in rainbows, come from the theory that these colors in the visible light spectrum can make any other color in the world!
What is color? Light (which contains all the colors) is absorbed into an object, but some light bounces off instead! The light that bounces off is the color of the object you see! So a blue ball is absorbing all the colors of light EXCEPT for blue, which reflects "into" your eye and is what you see. That is why a white car stays cooler while a black car becomes very hot very quickly. The black car absorbs all the light!

Secondary/ Complimentary Colors
These three colors are known as Secondary because combing two primary colors creates these combinations. As seen on the color wheel, the secondary color becomes the complimentary color of the primary NOT used.
For example, blue and yellow make green; which is the complementary color of red.
